Former Wipro joint chief executive, Suresh Vaswani, is expected to head Dell Services in India, the business acquired by Dell from Perot Systems, persons familiar with the development told ET.

An announcement to the effect is expected this week. As one of Wipro's joint CEOs, Vaswani was already responsible for engaging with a large Dell International Services--the firm's call centre and back-end processing operations--account at Wipro BPO. Vaswani is expected to focus on the healthcare, government, utilities and financial services verticals at Dell Services.

Dell acquired Perot Systems for $3.9 billion in 2009. Over the last two years, Dell Services' revenues have grown to $7.7 billion while Dell's India business is expected to gross $2 billion in 2011.
