VMware wants more customers in India

US-based global leader in virtualisation and cloud infrastructure VMware Software today said it was eyeing at expanding its client base in India and would sign agreements with various IT and telecom companies for offering its services in the next six months.
The Indian arm of the US-headquartered company has already tie-up with Bharti Enterprises, HCL and Sify. "We are in advance talks with more telecom players and in another six months you will see more (clients..)", VMware Software India Director-Technology Seema Ambastha told reporters here.
With the advent of virtualisation and cloud computing taking over, she said VMWare was betting big in its Indian operations which had crossed more than 1,000 customers, about 20 per cent of whom have already moved from physical infrastructure to virtual network.
