Xerox has reportedly told some 600 employees that if they don't agree to take a transfer to Indian IT major HCL, they may face unemployment.

According to a news story in ComputerWorld, Xerox recently told employees in its product engineering group that it is in outsourcing talks with HCL Technologies.

The news report says that according to Xerox, HCL will take over the responsibility of certain aspects of the company's mechanical, electrical and software engineering activities. HCL already takes care of outsourcing work for Xerox.
