Despite problems, Infosys brand value rose by 12%

India's second-biggest software exporter Infosys said its brand value climbed 12% during the year-ended March 2011 to nearly $8.87 billion despite ongoing allegations of visa misuse in the US and its founder chairman NR Narayanamurthy stepping down this August.
A company's brand value has a significant role to play in commanding price premiums and reducing entry barriers with new customers, experts say.
