Infosys Technologies China Co. plans to triple its staff in China to 10,000 over the next three years as part of its expansion aimed at securing a larger share in China's outsourcing technology services sector.

The company, a unit of Infosys Technologies Ltd. � India's second-largest software exporter by sales -, plans to invest $135 million in Shanghai in the next few years and secure a 15-acre site in the city's Minhang district to build a new office capable of housing more than 7,000 employees, Infosys China Chief Executive Rangarajan Vellamore said in a recent interview.
