New Infosys chairman Kamath will hold office for 6 years

New247 had earlier reported that the the new Infosys chairman K V Kamath, who was was born on December 2, 1947, may hold office for just one year and retire on December 2, 2012.
This was based on the fact that Infosys board members retire at 65. But according to latest reports, Infosys has extended the tenure of chairman of board to 70. So, Kamath will continue for 6 years. However, other board members will retire at 65.
He is now 64 and will assume office in August 2011, when Murthy retires. This gives Kamath a tenure of just 1 year and 3 months.
