Despite announcing a much-heralded �global strategic partnership� with Cognizant a couple of years ago, Geneva-based banking software firm, Temenos, has selected Wipro to deliver its flagship T24 product on an ASP basis for small and medium sized banks and new market entrants in Europe.

This is a bit of a coup for Wipro � and I�m sure a disappointment for Cognizant. Neither player has its own proprietary banking software package, unlike larger peers TCS (BaNCS) and Infosys (Finacle). Wipro (and HCL) has also been partnering with Misys, though not for ASP delivery.
