�PG (Pradeep Gupta, Publisher of Dataquest) gets thing right always at second time. Almost 15 years back, he sent an emissary to me whether I would like to receive the 'IT Man of the Year' award. I was quite round and angry with him for choosing Ashok Soota of Wipro the previous year but thankfully PG got it right the second time round!� said Nadar, who was honored with the Dataquest IT Man of the Year award in 1995, in a lighter vein.

Nadar pointed out that the trend has continued for this year as well.

�This year when Kiran Karnik (chairman of the jury for this year's Dataquest Awards, and former president, NASSCOM) called me up on my cellphone, he said that he is the chairman of the jury for the Dataquest Awards. I thought he is the chairman and maybe wanted me to be a jury but then he told me that I have been chosen for the Lifetime Achievement Award,� added Nadar.

�This was OK, but they were very quite about the previous year award winner. Then I found out that Azim Premji (chairman, Wipro) was the recipient of this award last year. Anyway, finally I got my hands on this award and PG has got it right again the second time,� Nadar expressed his happiness in a humorous way.
