Bhopal gas tragedy: Big guns Keshub Mahindra, Warren Anderson sentenced for two years

Bhopal court has found eight people guilty of negligence in failing to prevent one of the world's worst industrial accidents that killed thousands of people in 1984.
The accused have beenconvicted by chief judicial magistrate Mohan P Tiwari under sections 304(A) (causing death by negligence) and 304-II (culpabale homicide not amounting to murder) of Indian Penal Code.
Absconding former chairman of Union Carbide Corporation Warren Anderson is among those convicted.
The others convicted include Former UCIL chairman Keshub Mahindra, former vice-president functioning In charge, Kishor Kamdar, former works manager J. Mukund; and former Production manager A.P. Division, SP Choudhury.
