Security guards' sound sleep helps thieves carry away ATM machine near Bangalore

An ATM machine was stolen at Anekal in Chandapura, a rural area of the city, on Tuesday.
Both the security guards were reportedly fast asleep when the ATM machine was taken away from an HDFC bank booth between 1.30 am and 6 am on Tuesday.
The guards — Nanjappa and Srinivasa — told the police that they did not hear any noise.
