Coastal Andhra faces Lalila fury, 150 mph winds expected

Coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh were all set to face the Laila fury on Wednesday. Government officials said about 100 km area of the 950-km coastline in the state was likely to bear the brunt of the cyclone that was expected to intensify by Thursday.
The cyclone caused severe rainfall in some areas. Met officials in Visakhapatnam warned of 20 meters tides and 150 kmph strong winds by early Thursday. Laila was expected to hit Machilipatnam first.
