6 dead in one day in India's suicide capital, Bangalore

A couple and a young mother, who ended her life after killing her two children, were among six persons committing suicide in the past 24 hours.
Parvathi, 26, flung her children Rekha, 4, and Bimaraya, 1, into a water-filled pit at a construction site in Arundhathi Nagar, Chandra Layout, before jumping into the same waterbody on Sunday evening, police said. Marital discord was cited as the motive.
