Kochi lawyer, wife booked for torturing 11 year old main

A lawyer and his wife has been booked here for allegedly torturing their 11-year-old domestic help, police said. The case has been registered against lawyer Imtiyaz, a practising advocate in the High Court, and his wife, Khamarunissa, on a complaint lodged by the girl, they said.
The girl was staying as a domestic help for the past three years at their house at Edathala in Aluva. In her complaint, the girl alleged the couple had ill-treated and tortured her with a hot iron rod when their baby she was carrying fell from her hand.
