Rajasthan senior officer's son arrested for cheating scrap dealor Rs 50 lakhs

A MBA professional and the son of a senior bureaucrat from Rajasthan has been arrested by the Powai police for duping a Navi Mumbai scrap dealer of Rs50 lakh.
The accused, Gaurav Diwakar alias Abhishek Bansal, 27, and his accomplice, Amir Mohiuddin Khan alias Amit Patel, 26, conned Rafique Makwana by promising him scrap belonging to the Hindustan Lever Limited (HLL) for a cheaper price.
According to the police, Makwana met Diwakar and Khan at their office in Hiranandani Complex in Powai in March, where the two told him that they had a contract with HLL for selling their company scrap dumped at their premises near Sewri.
