Chennai authorities seize sandalwood logs worth Rs 40 lakh

The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence today seized sandalwood logs worth Rs 40 lakh which were meant to be smuggled to Dubai. C Rajan, Additional Director General, DRI, said officials had information about the smuggling and during surveillance outside Salem, intercepted a jeep in which the logs were bundled in gunny bags.
