Ahmedabad police bust gang blackmailing senior citizens busted
Tuesday, 27th April 2010
There seems to be no end to the number of rogue cops in the city. In yet another incident, a cop has been named by the police for his alleged involvement in threatening to file a false case against some senior citizens.

The rogue cop was member of a gang comprising two women that trapped senior citizens and later threatened to file false case against them for being involved with prostitutes. The police arrested one Bhupendra Soni some days ago and he later spilled the beans about the gang and their victims.

A victim of the gang and a resident of Naroda then came forward to register a fresh complaint.

The victim was stopped by a lady named Sonu, who took him to a flat in Vejalpur. Soon other gang members along with the police constable Girish Sharma reached the flat and told him to pay Rs2 lakh or face a police case.
