Monday, 26th April 2010
A student from the Syrian Arab Republic was killed at Yelahanka in a road accident, while he was reportedly trying to escape the police.

Police said the student, Saale Abdul, 25, was over speeding on his motorcycle, and rode on, despite the police ordering him to stop around 1.30 pm on Saturday.

Abdul, in his bid to escape being caught by a tailing interceptor, was thrown off his bike after ramming his bike into a car. A tempo ran over the student.

Police said they rushed him to a nearby private nursing home and then to the Columbia Asia hospital. He died around 3.15 the same day.
