Dalit woman kills molester in full public view in Muzaffarnagar

Enraged over repeated attempts by a person of her village to molest her, a dalit woman killed the alleged culprit with a daranti (a sharp edged sickle like tool) in full public view in Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarnagar district, about 450 kilometres from here.
According to the police sources, thirty-year-old Rachna pushed her molester, Anil Kumar, down on to the ground with the help of her parents and stabbed him repeatedly until he died on the spot. The courageous lady did not run from the spot after killing her molester. She continued to stand there even as hundreds of people watched her in disbelief.
A police team later arrested Rachna from her home in the village and a case of murder has been registered against her and her father Sant Ram.
