A customer murdered a dhs200 prostitute after she refused to give him a refund when he said he was not satisfied, a court heard.

The 36-year-old Indian chef had picked up the Azerbaijani woman and gone back to her flat in the Naif area of Dubai, the Court of First Instance was told.

Police claim the man paid the 49-year-old dhs200 and they had sex.

But, they say, when he asked to do it again, she refused.

The man demanded half his money back and when the woman said no, he suffocated her with a pillow, the court heard.

The police were called to the flat after the discovery of her body.
