Man tries to plant drugs to avenge sister's torture
Friday, 19th February 2010
There was a tip-off of a narcotics deal, and the sleuths were lying in wait near the Oberoi Mall in Goregaon (East). Mansoor Ali Sayyed alias Gufran, 28, a resident of Jogeshwari, walked straight into their trap around 3.30 pm on Wednesday afternoon, with 1 kilo of hashish in his possession. Routine script so far. But the twist in the tale came after the sleuths started grilling Sayyed.

The officers of the Bandra unit of the Anti-Narcotics Cell [ANC] came to know from Sayyed that he had procured the drug neither for consumption, nor for selling it. He had wanted to plant it in his brother-in-law’s residence in order to get him framed in a narcotics case.
