Thursday, 18th February 2010
India has another image of police brutality to remember as a video of a Uttar Pradesh police inspector beating up a Dalit woman to extract a confession while a woman constable views as a mute spectator has emerged.
The footage which hit the television screens on news channels invited attention and action from the superiors as the policeman has now been suspended.
However, no action has been taken against the woman constable, who claims that she was too scared to stand up to her superior, reports Times Now.
