Burqa ban: Europe making a mountain out of a molehill

If France goes through with its ban on the burqa, it will have made a law for fewer than 2,000 women. Italy and Germany, too, are edging towards a ban.
But young Muslim women in India both veiled and otherwise are wondering what the fuss is all about and why Europe is out to make a mountain out of a molehill. Its a non-issue, says author Nagma Siddiqui.
The 39-year-old says the endless discussions are ill-informed and ensue because people get unnecessarily provoked without understanding.
