Suspended BSF commandant held with 1 kg heroin

State special operation cell (SSOC) has arrested a drug smuggler, a suspended deputy commandant of BSF, and recovered 1 kg heroin from his possession.
Identified as Harpreet Singh, resident of Hoshiarpur, he was apprehended from near Pingalwara, when he was waiting for a party to deliver the consignment, SSP PK Rai of SSOC said here on Wednesday.
