Why is there churn at the top in Indian IT companies
Saturday, 16th April 2011
Infosys board member Mr T V Mohandas Pai's unexpected walkout the latest in a line of top level exits in the IT sector - has triggered some soul searching within the industry.
According to HR and IT analysts, three key triggers are causing this wave of exits - organisations forced to restructure due to a changed business climate, personal ambitions, and the lack of bench strength at the CEO level.
As Mr Bhaskar Das, HR and strategy consultant, says: Many top level IT executives have achieved what they wanted to in business life and now want to take their capabilities to the public domain. He forecasts that many more will be looking at options that are not mainstream.
