Thursday, 14th April 2011
A Jaipur court has directed the Infosys to reinstate Rashid , whose service was terminated after his detention by police in the wake of 2008 Jaipur serial bomb blasts.

Infosys has been asked reinstate a senior network engineer, Rashid Hussain, who was wrongfully terminated in 2008 and pay his salary for the entire period.

Rashid was picked up by police after the 2008 Jaipur serial bomb blasts but was let off by the court as there was no evidence against him. Following his arrest Infosys fired him without offering any opportunity "to explain or give evidence on charges levelled against him about concealment of facts and submission of wrong facts".

The court observed there were "mala fide" intentions behind his termination, said Rashid's counsel Prem Kishan Sharma.
