HCL BPO links incentives to performance of North Ireland employees
Saturday, 2nd April 2011
HCL BPO is tweaking contract terms for Northern Ireland staff.
It said, the proposed changes relate to non-core benefits more on aspects such as health insurance cover in case of certain employees, and a shift to performance-linked increment model for those who joined before 2010 and were, so far, on a time-linked increment model.
The harmonising of the increments to a performance-linked system will impact only half of the 1,400 employees working in Northern Ireland.
The company has decided to discontinue with two local holidays, for which the employees will get a compensatory off and a one day pay. This is aimed at aligning our holidays suitably to support our customers in the UK mainland, Mr Rangarajan said.
